At the Van Gogh Academy, we explore and analyze documents and works of art to deepen our understanding of Van Gogh’s environment, era, and influences.

Through on-site research, we follow in his footsteps — breathing the same air, seeing the same light, and hearing the same sounds — to achieve the highest level of historical and sensory accuracy.

Authenticity

We place particular emphasis on issues of authenticity, striving to correct misinterpretations and dubious theories about Van Gogh’s art and life in our publications.

We are proud to be part of the international research community dedicated to the life and art of Vincent van Gogh, upholding the highest academic standards.
