Clarisse Gorokhoff was born in Paris in 1989. Graduated with a master’s degree in philosophy at the Sorbonne, she is the author of several novels. She also lived in Auvers-sur-Oise, where she co-wrote Iris on fire, Van Gogh’s last love (Escale Editions, 2023), with Wouter van der Veen, international expert and founder of the Van Gogh Academy. Her latest book, Women on the edge, was published on 7 January 2026 by Actes Sud.

For several years, she has been leading writing workshops and also accompanies individuals in approaches of metamorphosis and self-knowledge, relying on writing as a tool for revelation and transformation. She now lives in Arles, a city where Vincent Van Gogh stayed between 1888 and 1889 and experienced a period of intense creation, giving birth to some of his most famous paintings.
