On the occasion of the Rendez-vous aux jardins, the Van Gogh Academy welcomes the photographer Justine Montmarché, who will install in the garden her amazing street box camera.
This artisanal camera, halfway between the photographic chamber and the portable laboratory, allows to make film photography portraits in black and white and to reveal the image on site, in a few minutes.
Heir to the travelling photographers of the early twentieth century, this technique invites to slow down and rediscover the magic of the image that appears little by little on paper. Each portrait, with its contrasts and imperfections, becomes a unique piece.
