After Van Gogh
Designed under the curator of Wouter van der Veen, in collaboration with the Point Rouge Gallery located in the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the exhibition After Van Gogh explores Vincent van Gogh’s living legacy through the eyes of contemporary artists.
Presented in a city deeply linked to the painter’s history, this exhibition invites us to discover how his work, his sensitivity and his vision of the world continue to inspire creation today. More than a tribute, After Van Gogh extends the dialogue that the Academy cultivates between Van Gogh’s legacy and contemporary creation.
Five artists — Lydie Arickx, Catherine Duchêne, Florence Dussuyer, Peter Knapp and JP Plundr — agreed to take on this demanding challenge, each bringing a singular look at this universal heritage.
