Vincent’s Last Friend: Paul van Ryssel (Dr. Gachet)

Starting September 11, 2026, the Van Gogh Academy will present an exhibition dedicated to Paul van Ryssel (Dr. Gachet’s artist name).

Through a wide selection of artworks and documents related to Dr. Gachet, the exhibition offers visitors the chance to discover or rediscover this pivotal figure in the history of Impressionism, whose life is inextricably linked to Van Gogh’s time in Auvers-sur-Oise.

Free admission on Fridays and Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
